The Mock MCAT and Workshop gives pre-med college student the opportunity to take a simulated Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). Next, there is a workshop that gives information about the structure of the MCAT including planning for the exam and preparation strategies. Additional subjects covered consist of: test taking skills, study skills and resources for exam preparation. This workshop is recommended for college pre-med students preparing to take the MCAT.

Self-Tutorial Module
The Self-Tutorial is not a substitute for attending the workshop. In the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to speak with experts about the application process, ask questions, and learn from the experience of other participants.
Who Should Attend?
- “First-time applicants” or “re-applicants” to medical school
- This workshop is especially geared to meeting the needs of students who are characterized by one or more of the following:
- First in their family to attend college (parents and/or siblings)
- First in their family to pursue a career in medicine (extended family)
- From an ethnic minority group which is underrepresented in medicine
- From a rural or urban medically underserved community
- Educationally or economically disadvantaged
How long is the Workshop?
This is a two-day workshop.
- Day 1 - Complete the mock MCAT (6 hrs. and 30 min.)
- Day 2 - Attend the workshop (3 hrs.)
How often is the Workshop Held?
- For specific dates and times, please check our Events Calendar.
- The Mock MCAT and Workshop is usually offered twice a year (in the Fall and Spring semesters).
- This workshop is currently offered at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University. Students attending other academic institutions in the State of Arizona are welcome to attend.
Requirements to Attend:
Preference is given to students who have competed:
- General Chemistry & lab
- Biology & lab
- Organic Chemistry & lab
- Physics & lab
