Job Description: Data Entry Assistant/Web Designer

Data Entry Assistant Duties:

  • Enters records from source documents into a computer using an electronic keyboard or scanner
  • Reviews and verifies data entry and enters corrections, assuring accuracy
  • Logs source documents and maintains records of work completed
  • Runs routine reports and follows established procedures, using Microsoft Access and/or other database programs
  • Keeps records up to date by deleting, changing or adding data to files
  • Utilizes proper tools to produce data reports and to extract any additional data requested
  • Performs duties such as compiling, sorting and counting data to be entered
  • Organizes hard copy as well as electronic files

Web Design Duties:

  • Assists and advises the program coordinator and other OMA staff to develop web design concepts
  • Finds logical methods for features that can be reproduced to OMA’s specifications and is able to follow the University of Arizona design guidelines
  • Has experience with web creation software such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop, etc.
  • Able to work with coding such as CSS and html, or any web related language
  • Is familiar with new technologies and resources that can help and support the OMA website
  • Makes recommendations for website updates, images and other material to be optimized and presented for the web
  • Tests the site for functionality in different browsers and configurations, correcting errors, bugs, and broken links
  • Ensures that material on the web site is accessible to all groups including those with disabilities
  • Online calendar through 3rd party site, including creating online registration forms

General Duties:

  • Performs additional office and/or clerical duties as needed
  • Assists other OMA staff with any help necessary, including lifting and transporting items
